Harlem Art

Here are some examples of the great stonework on pre-war buildings in Harlem. All of these came from the stretch of 129th St. between Malcom X Ave. and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Ave.

Flicks of my critters.

Took some flicks at BBG with my new digi. They're macro-licious!

Here is my first attempt at photographing parrots in Brooklyn. These are Monk or Quaker Parrots, originally from South America but which are now on well there way to colonizing a large portion of the world. I've seen these guys out flying around, screaming their little heads off when it was 20 degrees and there was snow on the ground. Normally I am anti-introduced species, but parrots that live in BK i winter are just way too cool. Check out the wikipedia article for more info on these rad dudes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monk_Parakeet.

Here are some photos (taken with my good friend Quinn Miller-Bedell) of a sculpture inspired by one of my previously posted drawings, which I have included here for clarity.

Fantasy Junglescape

Here is an example of a type of drawing I often like to create. I try to imagine a fantasy food chain of sorts incorporating animals which fit niches in at least the upper levels of an ecological system.

Plants and designs

These are some drawings of planting designs and vivariums/enclosures that I've worked up.
