Starting off the next week we had our first learning Monday which meant time spent at the main Botanical Garden area for me again. I recorded to growth of the new bioswale, a planting which biologically cleans parking lot runoff before returning it to the Fall Creek Watershed. I also saw some great plants including: Astrantia major 'Rubra'- Red Masterwort, Magnolia macrophylla - Bigleaf Magnolia (sporting its signature cabbage-sized flowers), and Sedum reflexum - Reflexed Stonecrop.
